The song addresses contemporary issues of global warming in the form of the children’s story, written to reflect the spoken word performances that can be found on some of Hazlewood’s recordings from the 1960s and 70s. Recorded shortly before his 78th Birthday and just weeks before his death, the track was passed on to Amiina who adapted their original version of Hilli to suit Lee’s vocals.
